Sailing into Fall on San Francisco Bay

Fleet Week typically marks the end of the “Busy Season” for sailing on SF Bay, but conditions in October and November can be some of the best!

Schooner Freda B will still be sailing this Fall, with more of a focus on Saturdays. That includes weekly Saturday Morning Wildlife Sails and Saturday Sunset Sails. We also recently added sails for Thanksgiving Weekend!

Autumn is a lovely time to sail on San Francisco Bay. The summer fog has lifted, revealing clear skies and sweeping views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, and the SF skyline. The air is cool and crisp, and the lower sun casts a golden light that deepens the colors of the Bay. It’s a peaceful, invigorating season—perfect for those who want to experience the Bay at its most beautiful and serene.

Board in downtown Sausalito and enjoy the warm light and crisp air of Autumn sailing on San Francisco Bay.

Saturday Wildlife and Sunset Sails!

Choose between two of our signature sails this November! On our naturalist-guided wildlife sail, cruise under the Golden Gate Bridge, along the Marin Headlands, all the way out to Point Bonita Lighthouse.

Or set sail at sunset and cruise around the Bay Area’s iconic sights, often including Alcatraz, Angel Island, the Marin Headlands, the Golden Gate Bridge, the Bay Bridge, and the SF Skyline.
