Sail to the Farallons – Earth Day 2021

Thursday April 22: Click here to purchase tickets

Join us for a special all day expedition out the Golden Gate, along the Marin Headlands and into the open Pacific Ocean for a rare chance to see the Farallon Islands: home to one of the most diverse and thriving eco systems on the West Coast. Whales, seals, porpoise, migratory seabirds, and sharks may be visible from the deck of Schooner Freda B!

Start your day with a sunrise sail under the Golden Gate

Schooner Freda B is a sea kindly 80′ gaff rigged coastal schooner making for a comfortable and traditional journey. This vessel was built for ocean travel and has made the 27 mile trip many times over the last 10 years.

Captain Paul Dines has participated in the Farallon Patrol for Point Blue for over 20 years. Sailing with an experienced Captain and Crew is the best way to navigate this expedition.

A rare chance to see the long-standing research stations

If weather or conditions do not permit a safe passage on April 22, 2021 the reschedule date is April 23, 2021.

Please note that due to the general challenge of this trip, and extended period of time offshore, a medical release will be required.

Due to current COVID 19 regulations all food and beverage protocols will be determined two weeks prior to sail. At this time, masks, physical distancing, and all other COVID 19 guidelines are scheduled to be in place for your safety and ours.
