Opening Day on the San Francisco Bay

Celebrate Opening Day on the Bay, including the parade and blessing of the fleet!

Opening Day is an annual celebration of the maritime community on the San Francisco Bay, dating back to 1917. Local sailors festoon their vessels and come together for various traditions, including the blessing of the fleet and parade along the San Francisco waterfront.

Join us aboard Schooner Freda B for the festivities. Mimosas and lunch included!

Board in Sausalito and sail towards Tiburon with our flags flapping in the wind. Once in Raccoon Strait, we cruise by the Corinthian Yacht Club for the traditional Blessing of the Fleet.

From there, we sail across the Bay, enjoying views the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco skyline. The parade begins along the SF waterfront, altogether with numerous other cheerful sailors.
